Some other treatments that have been reported to be successful in treating acne are goats milk, honey, and tarmac powder.

There are many over the counter options that you can turn to as well. Most over the counter medications contain benzyl peroxide, which is extremely drying to the skin — it is effective for many, but for some the drying effect can be too severe. These over the counter medications can be purchased for around five dollars and just may help.

If your problem is severe, you may need to visit a dermatologist and get prescription medication. This is certainly not an affordable option, but you may be at the point where it is the only viable acne remedy solution that you may have. These often come in either skin applications, or in pill form.
